While most Nexus devices can now install Google’s latest version of Android, we haven’t seen any HTC device with Android 5.0 Lollipop yet but according to HTC’s vice president of product management Mo Versi we can expect Android 5.0 on the HTC One M8 Google Play Edition and HTC One M7 Google Play edition as soon as next week he lets know via Twitter:
The Play Edition line up of devices are different from the normal HTC One M8 and M7 as they run a stock version of Android and doesn’t come with HTC’s skin called “Sense” which brings additional features and modifications to Android.
As of now it is yet unknown exactly what day the update will role out or if it will become available for the non-Play Editions variants of the M8 and M7
