Google will be implementing a similar feature to Apple TV mirroring into its Chromecast streaming device, which recently has been made available in Europe and the UK. Spotted by Koushik Dutta in the 4.4.1 update API of which he then posted an image on his Google Plus account
All though this feature is already present in devices the like Apple TV it is interesting to see how Google has managed to do the same but with different devices running different hardware. As of now we don’t have a specific release date for when this feature will be available on the Chromecast. Currently, CyanogenMod already has a similar feature that allows users to stream Android devices to the Apple TV
