Chromecast to become available in Europe on March 25th

Google’s small digital media player originally launched in the US back in July 2013. Earlier this week images showing a 19th March release date for Chromecast in UK were leaked but there wasn’t much information on the rest of Europe. According to a leaked image on a French magazine called “Journal du geek” Google is going to release Chromecast in France on March 25th the image of SFR a French telecommunication company and loyal partner to Google shows, listing the device for 34,99€

Among partners that have teamed up with Google to start selling the device are Boulanger, Darty and Fnac, the device will also be available in Google’s own Play Store. According to Clubic, this all makes it very likely that France is not the only country we could see the device becoming available on March 25th as Google usually doesn’t stick to just 1 European country when launching a device. The retailers mentioned are mostly French based only, but Fnac has stores in Belgium, Brazil, Italy, Morocco, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland.
