Google has given LG the task to make the upcoming Nexus 6

Rumor: Gizmodo  claims that LG could be the manufacturer that will make the upcoming Nexus 6 device. LG has previously made several Nexus branded devices among them are the Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 device and it seems like Google is satisfied with the product as a third one might be manufactured by the South Korean based company.

Previous rumors reproted that Google was dropping the Nexus brand, but if the claim from Gizmodo is true, this rumors is fake. The Nexus 6 device will feature a very “lightweight” design similar looking to the LG G2, it will have a the following specs:

  • 1440×2560 pixels screen resolution
  • a 64-bit processor
  • 16-megapixel rear camera.

As of now no official release date has been given but according to CNET “The Nexus 6 would not arrive before the third quarter of 2014” So it might be possible to see it at Google I/O Developer conference which takes place in June.
