Galaxy S6 Battery 2,550 mAh to last less than 4 hours

The full list of Galaxy S6 specs has leaked and all though it might be the best looking Samsung device yet with some beast specs it has one giant down side, the 2,550 mAh battery will last only 4 hours tops.

The new S6 which is expected to be released sometime in March 5.1-inch QHD AMOLED display, 64-bit eight-core 14nm CPU which is 50% faster, 20 megapixel OIS camera sensor and a 5 megapixel f/1.8 front-facing camera with real-time HDR but the most interesting part is the Galaxy S6 battery duration and recharging capabilities

Galaxy S6 to feature a 2,550 mAh Battery that will last 4 Hours

There seems to be no actual advantage to this except for the fact that the battery will be of a smaller size (10% smaller compared to the S5). The current Galaxy S5 features a 2.800 mAh battery  and the new one will have 250 mAh less powering hardware that requires much more energy, this is also why the battery will only last 4 hours. The Galaxy S6 battery will feature some new charging technology will allow you to fully charge it in less then 10 minutes but if you are someone who is looking into using their device all day, the S6 might not be the device for you.

Smaller 2,550 mAh Battery to help the Galaxy S6 become waterproof

One of the reasons why Samsung might have gone for a smaller and less powerful battery is to allow the Galaxy S6 to become completely waterproof and improve its current water resisting capabilities. Previous rumors and leaked reports already revealed that the new device will have an incredibly high IP rating. Read more about the Galaxy S6 waterproof
