EVLeaks has just leaked the very first image of the new Galaxy Gear 2 and Galaxy Gear Neo in a tweet. The upcoming smartwatches are expected to be revealed at MWC 2014 in Barcelona (which AmongTech will be attending) and all though the image is small and of medium quality you can definitely see some modifications being done to the design, you can also clearly see that both watches still have a camera on them in the same position as the current Galaxy Gear. Something we haven’t seen before is what appears to be a “Home button” at the bottom of the display
The Galaxy Gear 2 will be an improvement over the first Samsung smartwatch the Galaxy Gear. The Gear 2 will feature longer battery life, increased compatibility with other Samsung devices and an improved display. See more details on the Galaxy Gear 2
As of now nothing had been mentioned about Samsung working on another smartwatch the Galaxy Gear Neo but by the looks of it it appears to be a cheaper and less powerful version of the Galaxy Gear 2, this could be Samsung’s answer to previous complaints about the high price tag of the device.
Update 1: Here is a second leaked image showing off the side of the devices. It appears that it will be available in multiple colors as the Galaxy Gear 2 in this image has a gold-like finish
