SnapSaved founder calls The Snappening a Hoax

Several days ago hackers claimed that over 200.000 videos and images that were shared via SnapChat were hacked using SnapSaved a website that allows you to store your Snapchat videos and images.

In a recent Facebook post the SnapChat founder calls the Snappening a Hoax. According to him the servers were indeed hacked but that absolutely no personal information was leaked and only 500MB of images were leaked for the database claiming that what is known as The Fappening has been greatly exaggerated.

As soon as we discovered the breach in our systems, we immediately deleted the entire website and the database
Associated with it. As far as we can tell, the breach has effected 500MB of images, and 0 personal information

Previous claims were that over 13.6 GB of pictures, videos and personal information was leaked,  a snapchat spokesperson confirmed their servers were not breached and according to BusinessInsider the now taken down website of SnapSaved.com was responsible for the leaks. It appears that this is also not the case if the SnapSaved founder is to believe.
