Google working on new Play Store layout, first leaked screenshots

Apparently, Google is working hard on a new Play Store layout. Several users are already seeing the new design as several users on Twitter report. The main new feature in the layout seems to be the right sidebar which now shows recommended, similar or other apps from the developer. Here is a full list of changes:

  • The new layout appears to be suited for wider screen monitors
  • Narrow, three column view
  • New layout is designed to promote related games and apps.
  • The ‘More from Developer’ and ‘Similar’ sections on the Google Play Store are now moved to the right column vertically.
