Three Green Energy Systems We Should All Consider

According to National Geographic News, over two and a half thousand scientists from 130 countries deem humans to be the biggest cause for the current global warming of the planet. Some of the most common ways in which we are pouring Co2 into the atmosphere is through our energy and heating systems.

So with that said, in this blog I will be looking at three ways that we can reduce our carbon emissions and greenhouse gasses through certain energy systems that aid this. Vital Energi, in particular is a company who specialize in saving their customers carbon, energy and money and I will be referencing their specific efforts and services.

  1. 1.       District Heating & Cooling

So this energy saving technology is much less destructive to the environment in comparison to regular heating systems. It is a heating and cooling scheme that takes form in pre-insulated pipes that distribute heat, hot water and cooling abilities from the network of a central source.

This system is ideal, and used for residential and commercial properties and developments. The insulated pipes can distribute heating and hot water as well as cooling techniques with cool water that create a heating/cooling network between the district heating and central plant.

District heating and cooling is deemed the cheapest way to reduce carbon footprint in homes and commercial developments, and can use hot or cold water in order to heat up or cool down.

  1. 2.       Commercial & CHP Biomass

Like District Heating and Cooling, Biomass is also a renewable energy technology. It is produced in a different way though, and is achieved by burning plant and animal matter. These usually include wood pallets, wood chip, animal by-products and general waste.

The burning of these materials (mostly wood) works in the same wat as district heating, and that is to provide hot water and energy to residential properties, and commercial premises. This equates to the reduction of Co2 emissions due to wood, for example being a natural resource.

Due to low instillation costs and certain funding programmes available for biomass boilers, this energy saving technology can be extremely cost effective, while making for a greener environment.

  1. 3.       Solar Energy

Solar energy is a technology that essentially allows you to become less dependent on the national grid, and distanced from rising energy costs. The panels generally installed on the roofs of properties harness heat from the sun in order to produce energy and heat.

The immersion of a heater or boiler can be supplemented when necessary, say during winter months or on overcast days. Solar Photovoltaic is a set of cells that convert sun solar energy into electricity so that it’s compatible with house hold appliances.

Solar panels are dependent on light intensively, so that heat and electricity continues to generate over winter months. It’s no carbon technology means that electricity, heat and water is generated without producing harmful greenhouse gases.

As previously mentioned, Vital Energi provide bespoke solutions for commercial and residential purposes that each guarantees the reduction of costs and energy usage. They offer solutions that contribute to a greener and cleaner future for our environment.

Global warming is a term often thrown about, but in actual fact the issue is very much prominent, and these energy saving technologies in particular work toward alleviating the strain of pollution, emissions and greenhouse gasses on the atmosphere.

Let’s come together in an attempt to be responsible for our own actions, and reduce the amount of Co2 that we put into the atmosphere that we live in, each day.
