New CM12 Nightlies adds Expandable Volume button and fixes Lollipop annoyance

The upcoming Cyanogenmod 12 (CM12 Nightlies) build Cyanogen will add a much wanted feature and with it fix one of the biggest Lollipop annoyances. One of the new features it will add is an expandable volume button. This will allow users to individually control different volume settings for Ringtones, Alarm and normal Volume, bellow is a screenshot of how it will look:

Currently on Android 5.0 Lollipop  Google has merged the volume and notification sound something that was annoying many users since you don’t always want the notification sound to be max but do want to hear any important incoming calls.

As of now there is no official release date for Cyanogenmod 12 but the team developing it has released a full changelog and list of confirmed devices. Also make sure to read on our post regarding the drop in support for older devices in CM12
