Google confirms Nexus 5 leaked images

Last week Google leaked images of its upcoming flagship smartphone the Nexus 5. Google’s upcoming Nexus smartphone was already previously spotted in the Android Kit Kat 4.4 video but Google has now showed us high-quality images of the phone. After asking several people working at Google we finally got a reply from a Product Manager working very close to the Nexus 5 project. We asked if we can get confirmation on the images showed on the Google Play store, He told us the following:

“There is no denial to it”

So its true, the Nexus 5 is coming and there is no way Google can deny it, but we don’t know when yet, we expect to hear more about the release date on the October 24th Google Play event . Here is the leaked picture on the Google Play store

Many rumors of the Nexus 5 have leaked, also the user manual was leaked by Android Police giving lots of details on the new device, among those are the specs, which are the following:

  • 32GB internal storage (other capacities not specified)
  • 2GB RAM
  • Snapdragon 800 at 2.3GHz
  • 8MP OIS rear camera, 1.3MP front camera
  • 2300mAh battery
  • Micro SIM slot

  • Bluetooth 4.0
